Sound and Vision: music and fashion photographed by Francesco Mellina, Liverpool, 1978 - 82. An exhibition at the National Conservation Centre, 1 May to 31 August 2009.
To complement his pictures of Liverpool fashions from 1978 to 1982 featured in the Sound and Vision exhibition, photographer Francesco Mellina took portrait photographs of some of the city's most stylish people in 2009.
All of these photographs are featured here on the website. Fashion designer Kirsty Doyle very kindly judged the Picture This! competition and selected the first one featured below, of Abby Hewitson and Laura Johnson, as the most stylish. This winning photograph was framed and hung as part of the exhibition.
