What we are trying to achieve with Find Your Talent
A performance of 'Blake Reinvented', the culmination of a project led by Young Tate in collaboration with ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages) and Art students from Liverpool Community College, LIPA students and the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Youth Theatre.
By 2011, the Find Your Talent Partners aim to:
- Have created a model to deliver 5 hours of culture a week, effectively and meaningfully in the target areas.
- Demonstrate a measurable increase in cultural engagement among young people
- Increase attainment and higher skills levels in young people participating in both school and community-based cultural activity
- Positively enhance young peoples’ aspirations and ambitions for themselves and their communities as a result of the programme
- Increase strategic engagement between the children’s and cultural sectors
- Create clear pathways, route-maps and information portals for young people who want to progress into the creative industries, develop their talents or take their interests further
- Use the evidence gathered throughout the programme to support the roll-out of a universal cultural offer nationally
