Stewart Bale collection online exhibition
This is the third in a series of online exhibitions dedicated to the Stewart Bale photographic collection to highlight the breadth of its subject matter.
This exhibition concentrates on places of entertainment and the rich variety of venues that this produced. These include two cinemas by the architect AE Shennan, theatres and an unfamiliar view of the original Philharmonic Hall which burnt down in 1933. A formerly well known source of outdoor entertainment is also represented with a photograph of New Brighton Baths.
