Visitor information

The Maritime Dinings Rooms is located on the fourth floor of the Grade 1 listed museum building.
Service currently runs 12 noon to 5pm, seven days a week for lunch and afternoon tea, with after hours catering for corporate and private functions.
The menu has been devised by executive chef Nigel Paul Smith, who has cooked for celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay and Paul Gayler. It celebrates British and local produce, combining classic flavours with modern presentation.
Dishes include Gressingham duck pie with turnip mash and duck crackling, Pan fried sea bass with sauteed salsify and cauliflower puree and Lancashire hotpot with pickled red cabbage. There are also several vegetarian and vegan options. See the current menu here.
There is also a comprehensive wine list, a tempting afternoon tea menu, a children's menu, and an excellent value family meal deal.
We're currently taking reservations for our Christmas 2009 menu.
Head chef Nigel Paul Smith said:
"Being located in a world heritage site demands that food and service standards compete with the best. It's all about simple food in an unsurpassed environment for views, maritime heritage and quality customer service".
Local architects Austin-Smith: Lord have developed the contemporary and stylish interior that features woven flooring, wave lighting and furniture by Bolon, Artemide and Andreu World.
The dual aspect views are undoubtedly breathtaking, capturing the city's history, renaissance and regeneration. On the south side diners look out over the busy Albert Dock with its Grade 1 listed buildings, ships and boats. On the north side of the restaurant diners are treated to views of the Three Graces, Canning Dock and the new Museum of Liverpool.
