Home

Many people from all over the world have made Liverpool their home.

Personal stories and special objects reveal why they decided to put down roots in the city.

Neighbourhood

Working in partnership with community groups and local residents, the Museum of Liverpool has explored two distinct neighbourhoods.

In The Secret Life of Smithdown Road, you can see the changing face of this much-loved road through photographs, memories, objects and film. Add your own recollections of Smithdown to our Secret Life of Smithdown facebook page| or add your photos to the Secret Life of Smithdown Flickr group |

In Echoes of Everton Village, you can discover how Everton blossomed from a tiny rural village. A scale model of the area created in partnership with the community shows how the neighbourhood has changed over 200 years.
