There are no surviving examples of clothes belonging to the Holt family, dating from the period when they lived at Sudley House. However, there are clothes belonging to the Holts' close friends and business associates, the Hollands, who lived at nearby Carnatic Hall. Some of their clothes are on display in the costume room.

Please note: The costume room is currently being used to display the exhibtion: A Sweet Life: Fashion in a Liverpool sugar merchant's family until spring 2010.
