roleplayer event with BSL interpreter

British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation is now available for a range of our events and roleplayer performances in Merseyside Maritime Museum, World Museum Liverpool, the International Slavery Museum and Seized! Revenue and Customs uncovered.

Full details are in the listings below. Please note that BSL interpretation is usually only available for specific times of performances, as highlighted.

Samurai armour (BSL assisted)

Samurai armour

Hands on demonstration suitable for all the family. Find out about the history and traditions of the Samurai and see a volunteer get dressed up in replica armour.

Places are free but numbers are limited. Please collect your free ticket in advance from the Information Desk.

Actors dressed as William and Ellen Craft

Based upon the true story of William and Ellen Craft, this performance follows their personal journey from enslavement to freedom.

The performances on  30 December 2009 will be British Sign Language interpreted.

Grave tales

Parson Dodge will be lurking about the gallery. If you're lucky he may stop and tell you all about the age-old battle between smugglers and customs men.

This event is linked to the collections in the 'Seized! Revenue and Customs uncovered' gallery at Merseyside Maritime Museum.

The performances on 17 January 2010 will be British Sign Language interpreted.
