Adze

An adze blade in dark grey stone with a slightly asymmetrical outline and a lenticular cross-section. The butt is undifferentiated, the poll rounded. The surface is ground/polished. The adze is slightly twisted along its length. It has two bevels, one on the back and one on the front, and these are almost equal, convex, with no chin lines. The cutting edge is curved. Both profiles are convex. The cutting edge is sharp. There is an old fracture on one side, and a newer fracture on the cutting edge.
