Information

Hiller specialised in stained-glass designs and this is very typical of his work. There is a stained glass window of similar design also called 'The Annunciation' by Hiller at the Church of St Michael, Caerwys, Flintshire. It was thought to have been made about 1937. It is a two-light window portaying Mary kneeling in the left-hand light, the dove of the Holy Spirit descending, and the Angel Gabriel standing in the right-hand light. This watercolour is part of the Liverpool Academy Album presented to Alderman John Lea (1850 - 1927) in 1926.
