Artwork of Pete Burns

In 2018 the Museum of Liverpool commissioned local artist Ben Youdan to make this portrait of legendary Merseyside musician and performer Pete Burns. The artwork captures Pete at the height of Dead or Alive’s popularity in 1984 when You Spin Me Round reached number one in the UK charts. Sell-out tours quickly followed. It features collage, sequins, glitter, faux gems and leatherette.
