Baboon Figure

Figure of a crouched baboon with both hands held to the cheeks of the face. Probably representing the god Thoth. Material appears to be fired clay. Purchased in 1925 by Norwich Castle Museum (previous owner not recorded). CONDITION NOTE 1998: Very worn, surface dirt, chipped, pitted.
