Berwyn

Hull-born Smith moved to Liverpool in 1895. He trained at Liverpool School of Art and was Art Master at Liverpool College. He studied at the Liverpool School of Art, residing at Liscard, Wirral in 1914 and Liverpool in 1923. He was a painter and etcher who mainly exhibited at the Liverpool Autumn Exhibitions, the Royal Cambrian Academy and the Royal Scottish Academy between 1914 and 1940. He retired to Wales. Berwyn is a range of mountains and moorland in North East Wales, near Llangollen.
