Fragment of an amulet in the shape of the god Bes. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, surface dirt, worn. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum no. 78196: PARTS OF FIGURES, (48) (of gods and amulets) Faience, various coloured glazes. From ½" to 2". ex. Tabor Collection. Egyptian. Purchased at Sotheby's 12 November 1928 for £2 by Mr Wilkes on behalf of Henry Wellcome (ex Tabor collection) Lot 228 "A number of broken Amulets; a Figure of Bes, fine; and two lion Amulets".
