Small black-topped red ware beaker. Recorded as being from Mahasna 'site M', a Predynastic habitation area, cut through by later Old Kingdom to Middle Kingdom tombs. 

Ayrton and Loat led work in the Predynastic cemetery at el-Mahasna for the Egypt Exploration Fund in 1908-09.

CONDITION NOTE 1998: Chipped , pitted, running crack from rim, surface dirt, label adhered to side.
