Information
One of five bowls (LL 6156, LL 6157, LL 6194, LL 6195 and LL 6196) with flanged rims and wavy edges, and saucer-shaped cover. Egg-shell porcelain, painted in famille rose enamels. On the outside, four mirror-shaped panels with flowering plants and birds, ladies and children in a brocade ground of gilt lotus scrolls, edged with brown, and inset with blue flowers. On the rims are four lily sprays. Inside is a formal lotus flower and border of pink lozenge pattern, inset with flowers, broken by four medallions with flowering plants. Cover to match.
