Brosimum alicastrum

Another name for this tree is Breadnut or Maya nut. The bark produces a milky sap. The flowers are wind-pollinated and the yellow-orange fruit and seeds are high in nutrients. As a member of the Moraceae plant family, it is related to figs and mulberries.
