This watercolour shows an interior view of Crewe Hall, a country home in Cheshire, England. A version of this illustration features in Nash’s book 'The Mansions of England in the Olden Time', a book depicting English country homes built during the Tudor and Stuart periods. Crewe Hall was constructed during the Jacobean era (1603 - 1725).
