Copper Box

Copper gilt box, covered with incised foliage and bird decoration. There is a removable panel at the top (hinge broken). Decorated with additional copper gilt roundels that are set with carved ivory inlays featuring the Hindu elephant headed God, Ganesha (top, right and back) and a standing male figure (front), the left panel is missing. The roundels are set with an encircling arch of turqiouse stones.
