Coin of Ptolemy III Euergetes (Benefactor); Born c.280 BC, died November/December 222 BC; Became king of Egypt in 246 BC
Mint: Alexandria
Obverse: horned Ammon head right, wearing taenia, and a dotted border;
Reverse:eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt, cornucopia on left, monogram between his legs and a dotted border can be seen
There is no obverse Inscription, however the reverse inscription reads: [ΠΤΟΛΕΜ]ΑΙΟΥ [ΒΑ]ΣΙΛΕ[ΩΣ]
