Dancer's Crown

A dancer's crown made from card covered in, faded to salmon, pink silk. The crown is divided into five sections, each embroidered with couched gold and silver threads, in a Chinese style, with flowers and butterflies in the top two-thirds of each panel. Each panel is edged with the same blue and white woven braid. The panels are backed with bright pink cotton and strengthened with a pasted on paper in the bottom third. The crown folds in on its self and is stored in a matching case that is also decorated with the same couched gold and silver embroidery.
