Djed Pillar Amulet

Large green glazed faience amulet in the form of a djed-pillar, both a symbol of the god Osiris and a hieroglyphic sign which means ‘enduring’, ‘stable’ and similar concepts. Decorated with two incised circles & hatched lines. Slight damage on the base at the back suggests it was once mounted to a plinth (in modern times).
