Drinking Vessel

Deep cup (skyphos), decorated in the black figure technique. One handle missing. Everted base, low, conical body, groove underneath the rim. The exterior body is covered in shiny black glaze with a thin buff light band in the middle of the body. Above that there is band of black slip and then a band of light brown band with brown leaves or tree shaped designs alternating with the three long leaves, the middle one in brown and the other two in white. The exterior of the rim is in dark brown glaze and so is the whole of the interior of the skyphos.
