Information
This watercolour shows an evacuation scene possibly in Antwerp, in the face of allied advances. It was found on the back of WAG 2439 mount, which was made by the same artist and purchased in 1950. It was drawn from memory shortly after Griffith returned from Antwerp which he described in a letter dated 15th August 1968.
