Marble statue of a male child, holding a dove of the Neronian or Trajanic period. The statuette was probably a funerary monument or a grave portrait. It is is life-size or just under and portrays a child of about 3 years old, clad in tunic over a toga. He holds a large bird at his breast. He has a round face with full cheeks, a double chin, small eyes and mouth. The hairstyle of thick straight strands of hair with a soft, curved hairline over the forehead, underline the roundness of the face.. Only the front part of the head is ancient and restorations to the back half of the head, upper and lower parts of the drapery and the nose. There is damage to the mouth and the bird.
