This flower pot is made of blue jasper with applied white jasper decoration. Wedgwood called the shape the 'beaker shape' and in 1791 a pair in this new shape cost £1 and 4 shillings.
The white jasper decoration is formed in a mould and then applied to the body of the flower pot in a process known as sprigging.
The matching pair to this flower pot is LL 1472.
