Information

Twig of myrtle, myrtus communis. Six loose leaves. Collected at Hawara by W. M. Flinders Petrie, 1889. Prepared and mounted for display in 1889 by Percy Newberry in a box titled 'Plant remains from the Cemetery of Hawara' and labelled no. 2 Twigs of myrtle (myrtus communis L.). CONDITION NOTE 1998: Very dry and fragmenting.
