Hanging Incense Burner

A brass open-work incense burner. The globular lidded burner is adorned with three makara or mythical sea creatures. In between each of these are loops for three brass interlinked chains that would be held above the vessel so that the burner is suspended. The chains are held together by a serpentine dragon.
