Incomplete Statue of a Queen

Unfinished limestone statue of a queen. Work on the head has not progressed beyond the merest outline of the face and tripartite lappet wig with uraeus. The rest of the figure needed only a little further shaping before the final polishing of the surface. The angularity of the head betrays the square grid from which the statue was cut. New Kingdom or later.
