Information
This watercolour depicts a corner view of the old dining room at Cotehele, a Tudor house in Cornwall which is now part of the National Trust. For centuries it was the ancestral home to the Edgcumbe family and is decorated with tapestries, arms and armour, pewter, brass and old oak furniture. In this picture we can see the window which looks onto the inner court. The William III settee and tapestry still remain, however the ceiling mouldings have disappeared.
