Small round-shaped jar of a brown stone with grey and white inclusions (thin lines and patches). Marked on the base in black ink with Rev. William MacGregor's collection number 2699a and the same number appears in red ink on a small label stuck to the surface. Auction label stuck on the side: 1075/6. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 17249; Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 26 June - 6 July 1922 (MacGregor Collection) Lot 1075 and described as being "found at Negadeh, archaic period". From Petrie's or Garstang's excavations? Could it be from the Kennard Sale?
