Lekythos

Attic white-ground lekythos, attributed to the Bird Painter. Vent hole near the handle. Palmette and scroll motifs on shoulder. Maeander band above main frieze, which consists of a grave stele surmounted with palmette and volutes, with fillets tied around. On right, the deceased, a young man wearing a red cloak. On left, young female mourner holding a basket containing fillets.
