Letter written by A O Leason on 20th April 1943 regarding the experiences of William Colbon following a torpedo attack and the sinking of SS Cerinthus, Hadley Shipping Company, 1942. Written to the family of William Colbon after Leason met William in a Convalescent Home in Trinidad. Leason was recovering from an appendix operation, he would have written earlier but he was torpedoed on his return to the UK. Letter sent from Middlesbrough on Furness Prince Line headed paper.
