Liverpool Map
Jeffrey Sarmiento; Inge Panneels; National Glass Centre, 2010
MOL.2011.8
Information
This striking glass sculpture uniquely depicts the city as a place defined by culture and heritage, rather than geography and politics.
Local people were involved in its creation. You can see their handwritten pieces about the city and some well-known faces and places.
The artwork is a lasting legacy of Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture in 2008. It was commissioned by the Museum of Liverpool in association with Open Culture, Liverpool Culture Company and the Liverpool Daily Post.
