Wooden model boat with a crew of nine male figures. Eight seated and one standing. Conserved in 1990s but still missing some arms and all oars. It is thought to be from the tomb of Arythotep. Reassembled in 2001 with advice from Dr Angela Tooley. From Beni Hasan, cemetery below the Middle Kingdom rock-cut tombs: excavated by John Garstang of the Liverpool Institute of Archaeology, 1902-1904. Height given is for complete model on mount (i.e., display dimension). The height of the tallest standing figure (man standing up at one end) is 255 mm.
