Information

This watercolour painting is a costume design by George W. Harris (1978-1929) for the character 'Pantaloon' in the play 'London Life'. 'London Life' was written by Arnold Bennett (1867-1931) and Edward Knoblock (1874-1945), consisting of three acts and nine scenes. It was then produced in 1924 by Basil Dean (1888-1978) at the Theatre Royal on Drury Lane, London. The play feature a large cast and an elaborate set design. However, it reportedly flopped with audiences and only ran in the theatre for a short time.
