Pyramidion

A very badly damaged pyramidion, made from several pieces of wood, gessoed and painted. On each side is one of the four Sons of Horus in red, black and yellow pigment remain. A column of text beside each figure is now mostly illegible. Damaged in the fire of May 1941. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Charred, cracked decoration, cracked, surface loss, discolouration, surface dirt.
