Information

A blocked printed Tibetan pecha or manuscript. A copy of the Religious History of Bhutan: The Biography of Ngawang Namgyal by bstan 'dzin chos rgyal [Tenzin Chogyal]. The manuscript has 151 folios, with folio one containing line drawings of the Buddha, sGam po pa, gTsang pa rGya ras on the left, Padmasambhava, sBurg pa Kun legs and Pha jo 'Brug sgom on the right. The folios are supported between two red wooden covers decorated with swirling cloud designs painted in gold and secured with a purple and leather braided tape.
