Sacramental Bread

Circular cake of bread stamped with a circular design containing sixteen squares containing an ornamental design resembling a flower or leaves. The bread was made to be used in the Christian ritual of the Eucharist. Late 19th century AD or earlier. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Old insect infestation, incomplete, surface loss, surface dirt, hard, some fragments.
