Sarcophagus Fragment

Fragment of a granodiorite sarcophagus with three columns of hieroglyphs in raised relief, with only the central column being fully preserved. The style would suggest this is part of the sarcophagus of Amenhotep, son of Hapu, who served under the pharaoh Amenhotep III and was responsible for several important building projects. In later times he was worshipped as a god of healing.
