Scarab shaped seal decorated on one side with a small scarab-shaped handle pierced through for suspension. The other side is inscribed with hieroglyphs. Broken in places. Could be a forgery. History file: "Antiquities from the Ffoulkes family, per Graham Webster, Esq. Curator, Grosvernor Museum, Chester" (1951). "In 1980 it was noted that as well as the items on the 51-52 list numbered 1 to 17, mainly classical odds and ends, there was also a series of Egyptian items numbered 1 to 16. These Egyptian items are now renumbered 51.52.1 to 51.52.16 (18 to 32)".
