Scarab

Scarab shaped seal with an image of the goddess Maat on the base. Glaze has worn away from the steatite surface and there is a trace of red wax (?) suggesting an impression has been taken in more recent times. The head is slightly chipped. Fair technique. Prof. Percy Newberry dated it to the 19th Dynasty. Pierced through the length for suspension.
