Cast bronze situla. Corroded surface; handle and part of one lug missing. Situla is a Latin word for bucket, and this object would have contained a liquid and be used during religious rituals in a tomb or temple.
Excavated by the Egypt Exploration Society, from Square H5, 'redim' H5-431 [1103].
CONDITION NOTE (1998): Highly corroded, small areas of fresh corrosion, area of white crystals on surface, treated with Benzotriazol August 1987.
