Sofa cushion from RMS Lusitania

Sofa cushion from Lusitania’s first class music room. Able Seaman Henry Grew, aged 17, was involved in search and rescue operations. The crews of cruisers of the 11th Cruiser Squadron based at Queenstown were sent out on the Admiralty tugs Flying Fish, Stormcock and Warrior. Henry found the cushion floating in the water and took it as a souvenir, tearing it with his boat hook in the process.
