Information

Orduna became an auxiliary cruiser and troop transport, sailing from Halifax, Canada to Liverpool. Her captain fashioned a dummy gun from ventilation tubes, packing cases and canvas to dupe U-boats. After war ended Orduna sailed to Buenos Aires. The crew trekked across the Andes mountains to Valparaiso to sail four interned German ships back to Liverpool.
