Stela of Seshu

Round-topped stela of the mid Eighteenth Dynasty. First register shows Seshu [sSw], Scribe of accounts of cattle, presenting bouquet to seated Osiris. Second register has five columns of adoration of Osiris and probably Seshu keeling in adoration, with dedication by his son, Djehutmosi [DHwtj-ms]. Part of the inscription naming the god Amun erased by officials of Akhenaten. Very finely sculptured with scenes in relief with red colour; hieroglyphs incised.
Destroyed in the Second World War.
