Information
This is a study for 'Boulter's Lock, Sunday Afternoon' (LL 3149) which was completed by Gregory in 1897. Boating on the River Thames was a late Victorian and Edwardian craze, common to most social classes. The energetic and the idle, the relaxed and the anxious, all appear in this "River of Life" of high Victorian leisure.
