Thangka of Sakya Pandita

Thangka of Sakya Pandita, one of Tibet’s most revered lamas and a great scholar of the Sakya tradition. He is believed to be an incarnation of Manjushri, who is depicted on the top left of the painting. Here he is shown defeating the semi-naked Brahman ascetic, Harinanda (bottom right), in debate.
