Engraved British 18-pounder Mark II shell case depicting the King’s Regiment badge and battle honours. 'THE SHELLS FROM THESE CASES WERE FIRED INTO LA BASSEE FRANCE 1ST AUG 1915'. Part of a collection of items having belonged to Major Benjamin Joseph Finch, Quartermaster in Ladysmith during the South African War and later a recruitment officer in Liverpool during the First World War.
