Vase
LL 1527
Information
A blue jasper flower pot with applied white jasper decoration. The white jasper decoration is made in a mould and then applied in a process known as sprigging.
This flower pot has a broad base which makes it very stable, sometimes it was refered to as a 'window pot'. In 1788 a flower pot like this would have cost 18 shillings, which was slightly less than one pound.
