Vase

This large vase is made from blue jasper with applied white jasper decoration. The vase was owned by the designer Thomas Hope (1769-1831) and it came from his house, known as 'Deepdene'. It may have been made specially for Hope as no other large vases like this are listed in Wedgwood's shape book.
